went out this morning and discovered battery dead (just clicks, also my keyless entry on key chain opens all doors trunk etc.,but refuses to open drivers side) could this be as a result of the battery issue????

Sorry for the delay, but moved this weekend and will not have my computer on line for another week and only have my iphone.

You asked if I thought the problem with your remote and the driver's door might be caused by the dead battery. What you did not state was if it was working properly before the battery went dead.
