Hi. I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX with a damaged grille. I would like to purchase a
replacement and swap it myself to be a little more economical. Is the grille easy
to remove/install and how would I go about doing this? Would it require special
tools?

I can't be model specific, but as a general answer to your question, its not hard to replace and if you can get an after market grille, you can save a ton of money!

Once you have the grille you can see the mounting positions. They might try to throw you for aloop and employ torx screws. Instead of popping for a torx screw driver you will never use again, pick up a combo metric allen wrech. Not seperate one, but the one that has all the allen wrenches that fold into the handle.

Try the wrenches closest to the torx screw and you can now remove the screws. Some grilles have 10 mm heads as well, but yours probably doesn't.

You may have to transfer crest to.

Its a very easy job to change grilles.
