2004 cadillac deville, rear window will not come up. Motor is running. It came up once then went back down.

This problem is going to be repaired either at a service center or a body shop. Don't get ripped off going to a dealer.

Something has broken in the plastic window regulator. Commonly a plastic drive belt tape breaks and needs to be replaced. These regulators have not been made of metal for 25 years.

I used to commonly break in the winter when the window was stuck because of ice. You would run the window down and break the tape.
