Cadillac Repair: Electrical, fuse box, cadillac deville

Question
We just purchased a 1998 Cadillac Deville used. The electrical seat on the passenger side does not work, the radio does not work, the trunk and gas doors will not open when button is pressed. My husband checked all the fuses and all seewms in proper order any suggestions?

Answer
Hello,

First off, are you aware there is more than one fuse box?

The power seat is not a fuse. That should be a circuit breaker.

The radio and the fuel and trunk pop could be related and could very well be a fuse. You need to check the owner's manual for a second fuse box location.

As for the seat you need a test light or meter to see if you are getting power to and from the seat switch and the to the seat motor.
