Cadillac Repair: 1997 seville wont start, engine cranks, hi thanks

every once in awhile 1997 Seville w/61k miles wont start..engine cranks but wont catch..once started, no further problem starting until months down the road it will happen again..and once started car runs beautifully..this has been going on for over a year..mechanic once said fuel pump was insufficient??

I am not sure what you mean "won't catch."

When trying to start it, does it continue to crank or it quits cranking?

Thanks for the rating. You may want to get the fuelp pump changed before you get stranded. They are not fun to replace. Fuel tank has to come out.

A fuel pump losing its prime (pressure) can quit at any time and it sounds like you are on borrowed.
