There is a toggle switch right next to the alarm button under the dash, what is this for?  Also, on the air, cannot get the temperature buttons to change to lower the temp or get it to blow cold period.  This is a 1991 Cadillac Brougham with 95,900

What you have is a very poor installation of an alarm. In other words, whatever someone paid for the alarm was far too much!

The first place a thief looks to turn off the alarm is below the dash. Installers that have never seen a stolen car are ignorant as to what a thief would do. Infact, many of these ignorant goof installers think a thied needs keys to the car to start the engine.

What the toggle is for is a valet switch to turn off all functions of the alarm with yhe ignition on.

That switch needs to be hidden.

As for a/c problem cannot help you.
