Cadillac Repair: 1994 Cadillac Ignition wont keep car started, speedometer needle, volt ohm meter

Question
Hi,
My issue is this.  My 1994 Cadillac will start fine when you turn the ignition switch, when you release the car dies.  The dash lights go out and the speedometer needle rises then falls.
If you maintain a little pressure on the switch toward the "start" position  the car will run.
I believe it is the ignition switch itself if so is there a link that will show you how to replace it

Answer
Your problem is in the electrical portion of the ignition switch mounted under the dash on the steering column.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail:

in order to obtain the information necessary to fix your vehicle.
