I have a 1997 Cadillac Seville STS that the service engine light has come on.  I need to know what I need to do for the car is running great and there seems to be no problems.

Hello,

You need to take the vehicle to a service center (not the Cadillac dealer) and have the computer system scanned for error codes in order to diagnose some sort of emission problem. It may be running great now, but that light is telling you of a potential problem that has to be diagnosed before you have a running problem out of the blue. Something is wrong with the computer system. It could be something minor, but the engine is not running to full efficiency.
