QUESTION: I did a code scan on my 99 deville and it said that cylinders are misfiring.  I replace the spark plugs and re-did the scan and it said the same thing.  Then I manually turned the service engine light off and after a few miles it came right back on.  Is there something else to this.

QUESTION: I cant remember the codes but it was about an misfire of the engine and one about torque in the transmission.  I reset the code by going to autozone and they had the diagnostic machine.

ANSWER: Until I know what the codes are, There is nothing I can help you with.

Just drive the car until the codes come back.

QUESTION: I also have another question. Over the past 10 months I replace 3 front driver window switches and I replaced them for the exact same reason.  The driver window will roll down but won't roll back up.  I wanted to replace the window motor for the next solution but the mechanics said the window motor is good.  Any ideas?

What needs to be done is the next time the window will not operate is to carefully remove the window switch and test the switch and the electrical connection at the switch.

Possibilities are intermittent:

faulty window switch.
Faulty electrical connection at switch and or window motor.
faulty ground wire on the door components behind the door panel.
