Cadillac Repair: over heating, water coolant, cadillac deville

99 cadillac deville is overheating ,display tells me to chech water coolant and that the a/c is off,,,check for leaks and couldnt find any the only thing i noticed was the water was just flowing like running water thru the coolant reservoir overflow hose. im  hands on kinda guy but dont know what the problem could be, is my first cadillac so i would like to know what can i do or check to get this problem fixed...thank you for any help u can give me..

The one thing you never want to hear about a North Star, a 4.1, 4.5 or a 4.9 is the word overheating!

This destroys many a Cadillac engine. Go to http://www.alldata.com and join as a member for $25. Then download the information for your 99'Caddy. Its all there from the factory!!!
