Cadillac Repair: ride control replacement, cadillac ext, volt ohm meter

Question
I have a 2003 Cadillac EXT. My mechanic determined that the ride control module was faulted and needs to be replaced. I purchased a replacement but he said that only a Cadillac repairman could properly install it. Due to the numerous computers involved it needed to be in sync with all and that they only have the tools to do it? My mechanic did not know if I could just unplug the old and install the new module. Would that work?

Answer
If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information necessary to fix your vehicle.
