Cadillac Repair: bad ECM, cadillac fleetwood brougham, cadillac fleetwood

Question
84' Cadillac Fleetwood brougham with 74k miles.
While coasting to a stop the engine cut off in such a manner as if it was a light switch. I noticed a distinct smell shortly after. It was my ECM. A burnt transistor, as well as a fuse to one of my fuel injectors. Replacing the fuse only had it burn out again. So.... any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Answer
disconnect the wires from BOTH injectors and check BOTH injectors with an ohm meter to see if they read about the same.

Does sound like a bad ECM, BUT, You should ohm out all 4 wires to be SURE that you do not have a wiring problem BEFORE you install a new ECM. If you DO have a wiring problem and you install a new ECM you will DESTROY the new ECM.
