QUESTION: Check engine light has came on. No codes showed up using the Tech 1.
The engine does not get hotter than normal. Can anybody provide a vacuum wiring diagrahm? I think it could possible be the egr, or maybe an IAC sensor? Thanks for the help!

ANSWER: If you had any sensor malfunction a code would display on either the climate control panel or on the fuel data display.

Try this method:

1. Turn ignition key to the ON position. Do NOT start the engine.

2. If you have a DIGITAL speedometer cluster, Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and releas them.

3. Look at either the climate control panel or the fuel data display and you will see a combination of letters & numbers appear (ex: PC121 History, SD 145 Current). Write down everything that displays as if you were video taping it and tell me what you get.

4. Turn OFF the ignition.

The egr soloniode has three ports. one on the top, two on the bottom.
The top one goes over to the base of where the trottle body would be even though this is fuel injected, one of the bottom ports goes to the egr, and the third port on the bottom doesn't have anything attached to it? With the engine on I can fill suction on this port. Should something go here? If so to what? Thanks for the help.

Answer
F40 means that you have an intermittent fault in the AIR MIX DOOR for your heating and A/C system. You will need to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com

The third port on the EGR valve is an atmospheric air vent and is not supposed to have anything attached to it.
