Cadillac Repair: Hood latch broken, hood stuck, exact shape, metal rods

Question
I have a 1988 Sedan Deville, and recently the wire that connects to the hood release inside car broke. I have tried pulling the wire splicing the wire etc.etc.etc. nothing has worked, and I believe the wire may have a tear inside the casing under the hood. Is there any way I can get that hood open from the outside of the car so I can repair the damage and replace the entire hood lock kit.

Answer
Unfortunately the only way to get it open is to take it to a body shop. Prioer to retiring after 30 years working only on Cadillac's, I hand made metal rods that I hand bent into the exact shape I needed to access the hood latch on every year and model Cadillac when they first came out.
