Cadillac Repair: rear suspension conversion, monroe sensa trac, cadillac eldorado

Question
Hello, I really need your help.  I needed rear struts for my 1992 cadillac eldorado. I went to ac delco and was told that the struts my car uses were discontinued.  I didn't have another option and had to convert.  I was told that Monroe Sensa-Trac were good air shocks.  My mechanic wasn't really sure how to do this conversion so he asked around.  He put in ne rear mounts and installed an air tubing kit.  He then removed the ELC 20A fuse located in the trunk.  He also adjusted the air in the strut to 30 psi which made the car level.   Was that all he needed to do to complete it?  Did he miss something?

Answer
HE SHOULD HAVE not DISCONNECTED THE elc SYSTEM.

He  caould have very easily adapted the air shocks to work with the ELC system.

Your problem now is that if you put 3 people in the back seat the car is going to ride low in the back unless you manually inflate these new air shocks until the vehicle is level. When the 3 people get out of the back seat, The rear of the car is going to ride to HIGH in the back and you will have to let some air out of the shocks manually.

The ELC syatem automatically detects the weight in the vehicle and automatically adjust the air pressure in the air shocks to keep the rear end level all the time.

WHY di he not just adapt the air lines from the original shocks to the new air shocks ?.

WHY did you replace the rear shocks?.
