QUESTION: I have a 96 deville transmission all of the sudden started whining and slipping fluid fine and no codes on dash. Hooked up code reader and all that came up on screen was no DTCs present. What could it be?????
ANSWER: Does the transmission shift thru all the gears ?.
Exactly WHEN does it start slipping ?.

QUESTION: Yes it shifts through all gears. It slips when driving rpms go up but car is sluggish and the whine is in any gear.For instance driving in overdrive it will go smooth then it will slip then kick back in to gear.As far as the whine I have listened to it while idling and revving it up and the whine is coming through the transmission. Also now the codes pc1571 current and pz2042 current are coming up on the dash when i retrieve the trouble codes????????
Answer1571 is a fault in the PULSE WIDTH traction control system.
2042 is a loss of anti-lock braking system to Traction control system serial communications link.
If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
