Cadillac Repair: 1992 cadillac seville, cadillac seville, digital speedometer

QUESTION: 1992 cadillac seville...my car starts and runs fine when the dash lights are glitching(read zero) but when they are reading correctly or not working at all it wont start.  I have replaced the PCM and tested the ignition module.  Could it be the BCM and how can I test it?

ANSWER: The first thing I need to know is if you have the old style needle style speedometer or the new DIGITAL speedometer ?.

Does the whole speedometer cluster go dark ?.

Do any of the other displays work ?.

Does any of the working displays show and numbers or letters in the display ?.

QUESTION: I have the old style needle speedometer. The other display lights come on but stay as if in reset....they dont change....example the odometer always reads 888888. thank you

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need a DIGITAL VOLT/OHM METER, Simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.
