Cadillac Repair: 2001 Cadillac Deville Suspension System, deville dts, cadillac deville

Question
QUESTION: I've replaced the front shocks already in a 2001 Cadillac Deville DTS with an aftermarket set, but now the
"Service air ride suspention" light comes on in the information center. Is there any way to get this code or warning to turn off while using these aftermarket Struts?

ANSWER: Do these aftermarket struts look IDENTICAL to the original shocks that came on the car when it was built ?

QUESTION: I can't be sure, I didn't do the work myself, but I've been told that they don't have the sensor or something that won't send the information to the computer to say it's okay. I heard there was a special wiring harness that could bypass this, is this true? If it is, do you know what the harness is called?

Thank you.

Answer
I do NOT recommend bypassing any systems that was built into the vehicle as you are altering the stability of the vehicle which can lead into a possible accident and or roll over. This alteration can definately cause the vehicle to be unstable when rounding tight turns at highway speeds and or any fast manuevers if you have to change lanes fast in order to avoid an accident.

Is the money worth risking your life or the lives of your family or friends. There is a possibility should you get into an accident with the vehicle and the insurance adjuster has the car inspected and they find this alteration to the manufacturers design, They could deny the claim due to altering manufacturers specifications.
