Cadillac Repair: Cadillac Suspension Problem, cadillac seville, closed doors

I have a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS. I sit in my car and turn the key to the on postion and about a minute later I hear the air ride systems. Like its filling up or whatever.  It is fairly loud I hear it through closed doors, does this mean anything or is it supposed to make a loud noise like this? Thanks!

Hi Brad,

The noise is normal. You are hearing the compressor running, but it should shut off shortly and not keep running. If it continues to run, you have leakage somewhere in the suspension system.

If the compressor is constantly running, you better get it fixed because the compressor will eventually fail and you will find that the back of the vehicle will constantly sag.
