my 97 cadillac sts will nop even try to start an on the information panel it says "theft system problem car may not restart" i dont know what happen i was in an out my car all day when it decided to do this. please tell me whats wrong and how i go about fixing this?

Hi,

I cannot tell you what is wrong. You need to contact a auto service center or a dealer that has the Tech II scanning tool to read the trouble codes in the computer system.

Unfortunately these days, everything is computer operated with hundreds of sensors. One symptom like your theft light going on can be a number of problems and without proper diagnoses, its just a guess which could turnn the car into a money funnel.

All you are seeing is a symptom and not the problem.
