Cadillac Repair: BCM on 95 Caddy Eldorado, gauge needles, cadillac eldorado

Question
Ok, im gonna try to explain this the best as possible. The car is a 95 Cadillac Eldorado. And my problem is that for one, i have 2 undo my battery every time i plan on letting the car sit for more than say 5-8 hours. The next problem is that when i do reconnect the battery,i get in and start the car up and apply the brake to shift. When i push on the brake all the gauge needles start swinging back and forth really fast, then the dash lights dim and it dies. The dealership in my town said it was BCM. What is that and where is it located in my model. thanx

Answer
Hi Mickey,

The BCM is body control module.

Don't screw around with a dealer. No matter what, you will pay too much. There are service centers out there that can do the same diagnoses and repairs for half the cost.

I do not know where the BCM is mounted exactly in your car. I can tell you that it is either under the dash or in one of the kick panels.

The BCM controls most of the electronic functions in your vehicle.
