Cadillac Repair: Rpm dial/gauge, cadillac eldorado, loose wires

I just tuned up my 1992 Cadillac Eldorado (plugs/wires, cap/rotor.  Later that day I noticed my rpm dial stopped working.  The needle jumps but it doesn't engage.  the engine idles fine but the gauge makes me nervous.  Is it a fuse?  It seems that some interior light stopped working too on my gear shift.

Hi Don,

This is not my expertise, but I have worked on cars for over 30 years.
The tack wire is commonly at the distributor cap. You may have inadvertantly unplugged it. Check for any loose wires in the area. Usually, the guage fuse covers all guages.
The light you are referring too might be in the same circuit as the tach wire.
