Cadillac Repair: Cadillac eldorado alarm system, cadillac eldorado, question pool

My wife recently lost her keys (and alarm button) to her 2000 cadillac eldorado. We've had a locksmith make a new key but the alarm is activated and we cannot get it to shut off.For now I've just pulled the hot wire off the battery. Is there anything at all I can do myself for temporary long enough to be able to drive it to the dealer?The nearest dealer is quite a ways away and would cost a small fortune to tow.

Hi Gary,

I was just looking at your question on the question pool. I may be able to assist you if you have not had the problem fixed yet.
To shut the factory alarm off, if you unlock the driver's door with the key, it should disarm the system.
