QuestionQUESTION: I have a 97 Cadillac DeVile with 128K miles. Recently, when I turn off the car, the radio resets itself along with the air conditioner. It is like the battery becomes disconnected and reconnects for a split second. Along with this, at times the car will not start. No power, no nothing. Then in about 30 minutes to an hour, magic, it starts like there is nothing wrong. I have taken to mechanic, but nothing is found. Any suggestions?
ANSWER: IS or HAS the CHECK ENGINE light ever illuminated while driving the vehicle and or has any other lights illuminated or any messages from the message display center ?.

QUESTION: yes, the CHECK ENGINE light has stayed off/on for about 12 months. No, not to my knowledge, has a diagnostic test been run.
