QUESTION: ok the crankshaft that has movement in it, how do I fix it? Also the a/c compressor is bad, can I drive it like that or will there be a problem? Thank you

Answer
In the center of the crankshaft there is a bolt. See if you can tighten it. Remove the serpentine belt FIRST.

If the A/C compressor is unplugged at the 2 wire electrical connector just behind the belt pulley and when disconnected IF the noise STOPS, You can drive the vehicle.

If the noise does NOT STOP, You will have to replace the A/C compressor and or the A/C compressor pulley & bearing assembly.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
