Cadillac Repair: RIM Module replacement, garage door opener, electrical component

Question
I have a 1996 Concours and the trunk release, fuel door release and garage door opener have all stopped working.  I did check ALL fuses with no issues.  I read it could be the RIM module, however, I need to make sure I know which electrical component this is behind the rear seat (I'm hoping it is the small white module on the lower passenger side.)  Also, something was mentioned to check "ground 401" but I have not found the location of this ground (this is WAY outside of my Chilton manual).  Any help in would be appreciated so I know what I'm asking for when I call the dealer (NAPA had no idea what I was talking about) and I want to make sure I don't burn out another one due to a bad ground.

Thank you for you time!

Answer
If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
