Cadillac Repair: I have a 1997 STS, window wipers, turn signals

In my sts my turn signal arm that controls the window wipers, brights, turn signals, and cruise control has snapped off. Is there a way to repair this and if so where can i order the parts?

Answer
You can usually buy a replacement at any auto parts store.

NOTE:

There will be a small wiring harness attached to the new arm. Remove the big plastic panel from under the drivers side and locate this harness at the base of the steering column and disconnect the harness from the plug in connector.

Tie a piece of STRONG string to the wire that goes to the old handle and pull the string up thru the steering column using the old harness.

Tie the string to the NEW harness and pull it back down thru the steering column and reattach it to the plug.
