Cadillac Repair: 91 deville with studder and hesitation while accelerating, inner fenders, studders

Question
The fist occurence of this problem happened after driving for around 300 miles in 100+ degrees heat on a long trip. Then it didn't happen again for a few weeks and now it happens pretty much all of the time. Problem: When accelerating gently, everything seems fine, but when I accelerate any harder, the engine studders and shakes as if it is turning on and off quickly. It is a pretty jerky and unpleasant experience. Also, when I hit bumps, the charge battery light comes on temporarily. The light also comes on when the car starts jerking. I tried retrieving trouble codes and all I got was 0.7.0. Also I have replaced Altenator, Spark Plug Wires, Plugs, Dist. Cap and Rotor. And my local mechanic has no ideas.

Answer
The first things I would check are the black ground wires that are attached to the inner fenders and the engine block to make sure that they are clean and tight. The second thing I would do is to tap on the computer while the engine is running just to see if you can cause the fault to happen and if it does, Replace the computer.

If you are mechanicaly inclined or know of someone who is, You will need simple electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
