Cadillac Repair: act sensor 4.9 l cadillac, poor fuel economy, intake air temp

QUESTION: Where is the air charge temperature sensor located on 1992 cadillac 4.9 liter v8  (eldorado)?

ANSWER: Are you referring to the INSIDE AIR TEMP SENSOR which is located under the adsh pad OR are you referring to the OUTSIDE AIR TEMP SENSOR which is located in the grill right near the hood latch assembly ?.

QUESTION: From begining i have the code EO 46 : right to left bank fueling difference. Someone told me that perhaps is the act sensor wrong. So i dont know if this sensor are wrong.

What you are referring to is the IAT (intake Air Temp) sensor.

Your problem is that you are getting more fuel to one side of the engine than the other and is NOT caused by the IAT.

Faults could be:

faulty fuel injectors, Cracked or fouled spark plugs, Cracked/ leaking exhaust manifolds or exhaust pipes, Leak in the intake manifold.



Are you getting any OTHER CODES ?.

Do you have an engine miss, lack of power or poor fuel economy ?.
