QUESTION: IT START'S ROUGH AND IDLE'S BAD. IT HAS NEW, EXPENSIVE PLUG'S AND WIRE'S BUT ISN'T SMOOTH OR AS RESPONSIVE AS IT WAS AND I UNDERSTAND IT'S NO YOUNGSTER. MY STEPDAD DROVE IT 45 - 51 OR SO ON TRIP'S THEN IT RARELY GOT DRIVEN IF THERE WAS NO TRIP.I DON'T WANT TO "SMOKE IT OUT" WITH "ocean P___" , just in the gas. thanks.

Answer
If you want to add a chemical agent just in case there may be moisture (water) that has accumulated in the gas tank, Purchase a plastic bottle of DRY gas or FUEL SYSTEM ADDITIVE that absorbs moisture and allows it to pass thru the fuel system.

I would also recommend a can of what is called TOP ENGINE CLEANER and follow the directives on the product.

I have been diagnosing Cadillac's and repairing them for over 30 years and I have never used and or heard of any of my customers experience any improvement by adding sea foam.

It is your vehicle, So do what you want. Might work or might just gum up the fuel system.
