Cadillac Repair: 94 caddy, clutch assembly, clutch plate

Question
Whats the proper process for replacing the a/c clutch on my 94 deville(4.9)? I've been going back and forth to my local autozone trying to get the proper tool just to remove the clutch plate, the threads never match up and Im slowly destroying them with every attempt. Also theres a piece at the bottom of threads that seems to need a key-way, but there is'nt one. On the new clutch, there is a path for it, is that normal? I've been scratching my head over this for some time and I'm about just bypass the a/c all together. Although I'd rather not since it's in great working condition, besides the ginding and whinning noise that is quite non-fitting of my otherwise beautiful automobile. PLEASE HELP.

Answer
The clutch remover/installer tool # is J33013-B. Look it up on the internet in the search box and type in "air conditioning tools".

Did you check to make sure if there is a small NUT holding the clutch assembly onto the shaft BEFORE you installed the remover/installer tool. Some have a nut and some do not.

It is also possible that the compressor is NOT the original factory compressor and is an aftermarket compressor whereas the clutch assembly is NOT removable and you have to replace the complete compressor unit.
