QUESTION: It is a rear wheel drive and it has 307 motor 5.0L
ANSWER: On the 5.0L engine you CANNOT get the codes via the climate control panel. You have to use the ALDL link under the dash and jumper pins A & B together and count the CHECK ENGINE light flashes in order to obtain the codes .
If you know how to do this, Tell me what codes you get OR you can video tape the flashing check engine light as soon as you jumper the ALDL pins and I can tell what codes you have and then help you to properly fix the vehicle.

AnswerOK, Your fault is either in the LAMP DRIVER , ECM (computer) or the wiring.
