Question
how are you doing i have a problem with my 97 cadillac sts a few weeks ago i was at a light and the car just stalled no codes or service engine lights came up then today it stalled three times again at a red lights within a couple miles no light or codes again do you have any idea what it might be please help thank you very much rich

Answer
stalling is usually caused by a blackish residue buildup on and around the throttle plate area and also on the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve and within the EGR piping.

You need to perform a cleaning of these areas using a spray can of carburetor cleaner or similar product.

You will need picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture. I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
