Cadillac Repair: trunk and gas door pop open when starting, concourse, cadillac

I have a 1998 cadillac concourse.  Lately, there is a 'stall' when i turn the ignition, and the trunk and gas door pop open.  What is causing this?

I have never ran across this type of problem before and honestly do not have an answer for you. This will require some complex testing of the circuit.

IS or HAS the CHECKJ ENGINE light ever illuminated on the dash while driving the vehicle ?.
