Cadillac Repair: engine code, coolant temp, displays system

Question
The on board monitor on my 1990 Seville displays "System problem", what does that mean? Also several times the display locks up when i am checking engine rpm or coolant temp or miles per gallon. I suspect the computer but I would appreciate a second opinion.

Could be either the cluster and or the computer. You will need Electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
