Cadillac Repair: I thinks it is in the VATS, security light, battery voltage

Question
I have a 1993 Deville and replaced the battery last week.  now the car will start and run for a couple of seconds and then it will die and not restart until you shut the key off and then recrank the car.  I have put a resistor in the wiring of the car at the base of the column.  the security light does not come on but I have not checked the wiring to it yet.

Answer
Sounds like the theft module (PASS-KEY MODULE) is not sending a signal to the computer to provide battery voltage to the fuel pump. You will need, If necessary, Electrical schematics, Test procedures and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.
