Cadillac Repair: Code A012 1993 Seville STS, seville sts, onboard diagnostics

Question
After a new compressor and a conversion to R-12, my A/C compressor won't kick on.  Using the onboard diagnostics, I get code A012 (Low side temperature sensor).  Any idea what this is and what I need to do to get the system functioning.
