Cadillac Repair: ect, electrical schematics, coolant temp

Question
QUESTION: I have a question. I own 96 caddy deville with northstar, would the ect (engine coolant temp sensor)throw a p1660 code (cooling fan control circuits). I talked with u b4 about this. See my cooling fans come on but not on high speed when it gets hot, especially in traffic. I changed the pcm like u told me and did the ground test on the number 2 relay and they kicked on high speed. I havent unplugged the ect yet to see if they come on high. This code is really bothering me...its the only code im getting and it throws a check engine light. So do u think by changing the ect would fix this. Im thinking its ok cuzz on my dash it tells me the temperature of the coolant or is that another sensor. Please get back with me as soon as u can. Thank you.

ANSWER: Replace all 3 relays for the fans as one of them is faulty. You will need, If necessary, Electrical schematics and picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.

The ECT controls the cooling fans and the temp gage.
