Cadillac Repair: 1985 fleetwood popping from intake, spark plug wires, spark plug wire

Question
QUESTION: It has the 4.1L V8.  I previously wrote and the response said to disconnect one injector at a time and see if the popping stops but when I do so the car simply stalls.  Any ideas?  I was also told this could have something to do with cam lobes?  Is this true?  Thanks for your help.

ANSWER: Disconnect ONE spark plug wire at a time and the engine should run worse as each plug wire is disconnected, Does it.

1. Start engine.

2. remove one spark plug wire, Engine should run worse.

3. Reinstall spark plug wire.

4. Remove remaining spark plug wires one at a time and see which plug wire when disconnected does NOT make the engine run worse.

5. When you find the one that does NOT make the engine run worse, You need to perform a compression test and a valve lifter height test on this cylinder to see if the intake and exhaust valves are opening all the way.

You will need picture locations of the components within the system that is causing you problems of which can't be done on this website which only allows one picture.  I do not have a website so you will have to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com in order to obtain the information.

QUESTION: So you think this has nothing to do with the injectors?  I have done a compression test before but never a valve lifter height test.  How is this done?  What do you mean by picture locations of the components?  Thanks again for your help.
