Cadillac Repair: Security System - 85 Eldorado, electrical schematics, engine ignition

Just bought an '85 Eldorado with factory security system, which will not disarm. Followed owner's manual instructions to arm (power door lock) and disarm (manual door key to unlock) yet system will NOT disengage and thus prevents starting engine. Ignition key is not original with no resistance chip; out-of-state salesman clueless. Would appreciate your assistance!

This fault could be any number of things.
