ANSWER: Need YEAR and MODEL of vehicle.

You need to evacuate all the freon from the system and remove all the atmospheric air from the AC system via a vacuum pump and then add the correct amount of freon to the system.

Did you utilize a vacuum pump ?.

Answer
With the new compressor not being engaged, Are you still having acceleration problems ?.

What was the fault with the old compressor ?. Was it engaged all the time  ?.

what you need to do is try putting the system on DEFROST to see if the compressor engages so you can put freon in it.

If this does NOT work, We can either use the climate control panel to override the compressor relay and or jumper the compressor relay in order to put freon in the system. You will need to e-mail: onlineautohelp@msn.com for pictures and easy directives to fix this problem.
