Cadillac Repair: 2003 Cadillac Deville, air shocks, cadillac deville

Question
When I start my car, there is a sound that comes from the engine area that sounds like an electric motor.  It last for about 20 seconds and then it's gone.  The colder the engine, the longer the sound lasts.  I've has the car for about rhee months and it didn't make that sound when I purchased it.

Without hearing this noise a diagnosis is most impossible.

In the morning check to see if the back end of the car is alot lower than the front. If it IS, The sound your hearing may be the electric air pump for the air shocks that lift the back end of the car.
