Cadillac Repair: 92 DeVille Power Window Motor Replacement, miserable job, motor assembly

Question
I have the replacement motor for the front passenger window, but it looks like the motor and regulator are riveted, and they are inside the door panel so I can't even see them, I have to feel around. Is replacement just a matter of drilling out the 7 rivets, pulling the motor/regulator assembly out through one of the small holes in the door panel, then drilling out the rivits which hold the motor to the regulator and cramming it back in somehow? Looks like a miserable job! Thanks, Rod.

Answer
If you look at the motor you will see that there are 3 threaded holes where 3 bolts go into.

If you look at the metal door panel you will see three inward dimples and behind these dimples are the 3 13mm bolts that hold the motor assembly to the regulator. Drill out these 3 dimples large enough so you can access the 3 13mm bolts and unscrew the bolts from your drilled out dimples and install ONLY the motor assembly and re-install the 3 13mm bolts that hold the motor to the regulator.

This is much easier than removing that MONSTER of a regulator and motor assembly and then trying to get it to work correctly again.
