Cadillac Repair: 1997 Cadillac Sedan Deville, cadillac sedan deville, dash lights

I hope you can help, My 1997 Sedan Deville 4.6L runs fine but once it warms up and I try and start it, I have to crank it and wait a second crank it again and after a few times it will then start. Thank You for any help you can give me, Joe

IS or HAS the check engine light ever illuminated on the dash ?. If it HAS, I need to know what fault codes are stored in the computer.

Next time this occurs, check to see if you are getting spark to the spark plugs  and check your fuel pressure and fuel volume.

Try this and let me know what happens:

turn the key ON and OFF enough to illuminate the dash lights but do NOT try and start the engine.

EX: turn key ON, Wait 5 seconds, turn key OFF, wait 5 seconds, turn key On, wait 5 seconds. Do this 5 times in a row and then see if the car starts right up.
