Cadillac Repair: 1996 Cadillac SLS, blown head gaskets, cadillac sls

I am looking to purchase this car and after driving it and letting it run for about a half hour I noticed the temperature gage never moved from cold. What do you think could be the problem?

Answer
Either the temp gage is not working and or someone removed the thermostat because the engine over heats due to blown head gaskets which is very common with this type of engine.

Be extremly careful and have an automotive technician physically look the car over.
