QUESTION: I am relaying from a non computer person, I am sorry-- the The "service transmission" light came on the dash- then went away- in the owners manual the #100 was after that note, but apparently no understanding of that light could be camprehended by the reader. I "assume" it is only a notification light not a trouble light. Should something be reset? thanks
AnswerIf you are in excess of 50,000 miles on the vehicle the transmission fluid and filter needs to be changed and the service transmission light needs to be reset;
To RESET the service light:
1. Turn ignition switch ON. Engine NOT running.
2. simultaneously Push and hold the OFF and REAR DEFOG buttons until you see TRANS FLUID RESET in the information center. You may have to hold the buttons IN for 5 to 20 seconds.
