my 1989 Cadillac Seville drivers information center and climate control isn't working it just says system problem so it wont let me see how fast im going or how much gas i have how do i fix it?

In most cases the problem is with the CLIMATE CONTROL display unit. HOWEVER, There are some simple test procedures we need to do BEFORE condemning the climate control display.

1. As you try and start the engine watch to see if the ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM display illuminates and let me know.
