Cadillac Repair: 92 Fleetwood brougham hard start, surging idle & hesitation, fleetwood brougham, number combinations

Sorry I took so long to get back, but there is indeed a "sevice engine soon" light, but it doesn't come on to indicate any sort of problem while experiencing these engine discrepancies.  Could there be a problem with the ECM or BCM systems?  The car ran perfect, and then one day when I started it, I began having these problems - like day and night.  Incidentally, it has 80,000 original miles on it.

OK, We need to see what CODE or CODES are stored in the computers that is causing the CHECK ENGINE SOON light to illuminate.

To retrieve the codes:

1. Turn ON the ignition switch but do NOT start the engine.

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on the climate control panel for 3 seconds and release them.

3. Look at the display and see if you see any LETTER & NUMBER combinations appear and tell me everything you see until the display stops.
