QUESTION: Did Cadillac ever use positive ground electrical systems? If so, what was the last year they used them? Did they continue to use positive ground for electronics?

QUESTION: Did Cadillac use the positive ground system ONLY for electronics in the 80's? I was told they quit using positive ground for their cars once they went to 12 V (which would be in the 50's). I certainly do appreciate your time.

They used it via the computer system back in the 80's for the AC/Heater blower operation.

If your referring to the total electrical system being positive ground via the battery connections, The answer is NO they did not since way before you were around.
