Cadillac Repair: 1993 seville wont start due to theft system message, lock cylinder, simple test

when i try to start my car it wont start and the message starter disabled due to theft system wait three minutes to start comes up i wait 3 minutes to try to restart and it still does not start i have to try this about 4 times before it starts.do you know what could be causing this

You could have a fault in the:

ignition key itself.

ignition lock cylinder on the steering column.

intermittent wire fault from ignition lock cylinder to PASS-KEY module.

faulty PASS-KEY module.
